3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Pricing

We offer multiple subscription tiers:

• Free: $0/month - Up to 3 projects, 100 commits/month
• Pro: $19/month - Unlimited projects and commits
• Enterprise: Custom pricing for large organizations

Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

4.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Payment is processed through Stripe
• Failed payments may result in service suspension
• You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months or unused services
• We reserve the right to offer refunds at our discretion

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Generate harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Distribute spam or malware
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer or copy our technology
• Use the Service for competitive purposes

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your commit data and generated changelogs ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process and store Your Content
• Use Your Content to provide and improve the Service
• Generate AI-powered summaries based on Your Content

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it to train AI models.

6.2 Generated Content

You own the changelog content generated by the Service. However, you are responsible for:

• Reviewing generated content for accuracy
• Ensuring generated content doesn't infringe on third-party rights
• Complying with applicable laws when using generated content

6.3 Our Platform

The Service, including all software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by CommitCatalog and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

• Specific uptime percentages
• Availability during maintenance or updates

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS
• WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTENT GENERATED BY THE AI

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Use the Service in a harmful manner

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable period.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
